A Life Explored
From an early age I felt naturally inclined towards asking deep philosophical questions regarding life and the living world. I remember sensing that something just didn’t feel right regarding the “real world” I was being conditioned into.
My desire for meaning and a more exciting life led me to join the Marine Corps at the age of eighteen. It was at that time during a deployment to Iraq that an experience changed my life and set the changes in motion that would lead me on a journey that was greater than the one I was seeking through war.
The experience caused me to reflect deeply about myself and the person I thought I was. Over the next twelve years I became deeply involved with trying to understand how I came to be the person I was, along with my past romantic relationships and why they failed. During this time, I subsequently traveled across the globe, meeting various friends and mentors, while reading voraciously, studying as much religion, philosophy, and psychology I could find.
Ultimately it was the inner journey that proved to be the most valuable and healing; a process that involved finding wisdom through walking in the direction of my fears and of deconstructing my conditionings in a way that brought me back to my body, and to an individual sense of self that was integrated in a capacity that allowed for greater joy, intimacy, and peace.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, I have been in and out of my hometown since I was 18. In 2016 I moved to California to study counseling psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara. My first book, “And Let It Remain,” was published in 2019. That same year I left California, traveling first to Nepal for 4 months before returning to Buffalo for two years. My third book, “The Search for Wisdom,” was published in 2021. At the end of that year I moved to Tampa Bay, Florida to pursue a career in teaching.
I have a Master’s degree in counseling psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and a Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University at Buffalo. Originally, I trained to be a therapist, gaining experience in grief counseling and other modalities. I have an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps.
In my spare time, you’ll find me reading, writing, traveling, cooking, drinking tea, meditating, riding horses, and spending time in nature, marveling at the beauty and wonder that is all around.
Alongside teaching and writing, I operate health a wellness business that focuses on philosophical guidance through several somatic and psychoanalytical healing modalities. You can find more info at embodiedwisdomhealing.com
My writing explores the depths of the human spirit, going straight to the heart of questions regarding life, and its meaning and purpose. My writing is a blend of analytical exploration, human examination, and personal experience that touches on topics ranging from philosophy and psychology, to love and religion. More recently I have also been writing on education.
The thread running through my writing is the search for wisdom, and a desire to connect with life at its deepest and most powerful level, whether through love and relationships, or through the everyday experiences that constitute life in the living world. Through my writing I hope to aid others in finding peace, a peace that allows a person to connect with and marvel at everyday life instead of finding ways to escape it.

My Writing
My life’s Journey
Writing has proven to be a constant companion throughout my life’s journey. Whether it was writing poetry for the woman I loved, reflecting on my personal psychology, or exploring paradoxes regarding the human condition, I have always felt a deep and abiding relationship with the written word. It was writing that helped propel me towards an inner journey of self-discovery, asking questions about life, love, and relationships, both my relationship with others as well as myself.
